FRIAR STUDENTS MEET - FRISM-2022 CELEBRATING THE FULLNESS OF LIFE

It was a very good feeling to see all the brothers under one umbrella of FRISM 2022. As a postulant waiting to enter into the novitiate on 30th of May 2022, the gathering of Friar Students Meet was such a witness of joy and brotherhood. I felt enthusiastic about Franciscan Life in the company of so many brothers ahead of us in formation. On the day of inauguration, I felt that we are a universal brotherhood when our Minister General, Visitator General, Minister Provincial, General Definitor for Formation and Studies, Rome addressing us and motivating us to live the Franciscan Life. The sessions were enhancing our personal and fraternal life. It was a well organised and implemented plan of celebration of Franciscan Life and Spirit in the footprints of our seraphic Father St. Francis. Each day the liturgy was setting the tone for the day and the sessions day by day were becoming more interesting. The solemn procession on the inaugural day and on the day of installing the mortal remains of friars gone before us in the niche was a different experience of brotherhood. We were so glad to see so many friars and brothers on the day of our Entry in the Novitiate. The friars gathered inside the novitiate door and we outside the door, when one of us knocked, the door opened and the large gathering of friars to welcome us into the novitiate was a great joy and a day of unforgettable memory. The recreation every day after supper and a day of cultural programme added colour to our gathering. The sports event everyday after lunch and after tea kept us on our toe for one programme after another. We are indeed grateful to all the friars who made this event a reality and a celebration for all of us. Thank you one and all. We must have such a programme every year to boost our fraternal spirit.
