The Franciscan Vision Global Summit (FVGS) (OFM-INDIA) is hosting an online monthly session to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the gift of the stigmata to St. Francis of Assisi. The online session for March took place on 23 March 2024. Br Joseph Dolphy Pais OFM Cap who as the resource person, discussed on the theme “Saint Francis as Alter Christus: conduit of divine love to suffering humanity - in Bonaventure’s narrative of the Stigmata (Major Legend – c. XIII), and its lessons for us today” with Br. Peter Milanzi OFM Conv moderating the event. The upcoming session will be held on 27 April 2024, from 5:30 to 6:45 PM (IST). Sr. Jessy Thomas FCC will discuss on the theme, “Praises of God and Resolution of a ‘very grave temptation’– in the context of the Stigmata of Francis, and their lessons for us today” with Mrs. Lanny Hui OFS invited to moderate the event. Friars and students in formation are encouraged to participate in this enriching opportunity and are requested to share this information with members of the Franciscan Family and others who admire St. Francis and his legacy.
