The mass presider was Fr. Shaji Nicolas OFM, Secretary for Formation and Studies of the Province of St. Thomas the Apostle in India. He was aso the speaker of the day. His topic The Guardian who Ordinarily Accompanies the Ongoing Formation: His Role, His Formation was informative. It was well researched and documented. He accomplished well in collating all the provisions, teachings, and admonitions from the vast collections of Franciscan sources on how the guardians should actualize his role as animator and formator of the local fraternity. The presentation had three parts: (1) the Role of Guardian – some preliminary considerations; (2) The Role of Guardian in the On-going Formation of the Friars and; (3) The Formation of the Guardian. After the talk, the participants went to their respective groups for sharing.
