Br. Gali Bal Reddy, OFM, Ordained to the Holy Priesthood

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit." (John 15:16)

The Franciscan Province of St. Thomas the Apostle, India, joyfully announces the priestly ordination of Br. Gali Bal Reddy, OFM, celebrated on 3 August 2026 at Lurdhu Matha Devalayam, Nemillagudem, Nalgonda District, Telangana.

Most Rev. Karanam Dhaman Kumar, Bishop of Nalgonda, conferred the Sacrament of Holy Orders through the Laying on of Hands and the Prayer of Ordination, before a large gathering of friars, diocesan clergy, religious, family, and faithful.

Through this Sacrament, Fr. Gali Bal Reddy now shares in the priesthood of Christ, committing himself to the proclamation of the Gospel, the celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacraments, and the pastoral care of God's people — inspired by the Franciscan charism of simplicity, fraternity, humility, and peace.

The Province extends heartfelt thanks to Bishop Karanam Dhaman Kumar, the Diocese of Nalgonda, the parish community of Lurdhu Matha Devalayam, and all who helped make the celebration a prayerful and memorable occasion.

Congratulations, Fr. Gali Bal Reddy, OFM! May St. Francis of Assisi and the Blessed Virgin Mary accompany him always in his priestly ministry.
